CrossFit Burleson opened their doors on April 23rd of 2012 with one main goal, to build a stronger community. On that day the first class was at 5:15am and one athlete showed up and braved the metcon by themselves, gaining the title of the first official CFB member. That man was Daniel Basden. He had been doing Crossfit for quite some time in Fort Worth and saw a new box opening up in his home town of Burleson. After talking his wife Amber into coming it became a place that they could share together and create an extension of the family here at CrossFit Burleson.
In July of 2013 Joshua Randall started Crossfit and immediately fell in love with the competitive nature and the CrossFit community. After three months, much like Daniel, talked his wife Peyton into joining and she was hooked. Again, it was a place they could grow together as a couple and as athletes. They were able to share the community with their daughters and loved how close they all grew with the CrossFit family at CFB.
Together they became close friends, their families became close friends and they grew close with the entire CrossFit Burleson community. In June of 2017 the possibility of ownership was offered to them and together they knew with the box and community they grew to love it would be an easy answer.
Day in and day out, building a stronger community continues to be our driving force. Superior coaching, camaraderie, and result driven workouts are the foundation of our program. We have fun while accomplishing our goals and live by the motto “work hard, play hard”.
The backbone of CrossFit Burleson lies in our dedicated members; their loyalty and appreciation fuels us to continue to strive to be the best. Walk into the doors of CrossFit Burleson and you will find a diverse group of people. We come from many different walks of life, but we all have one main thing in common – we refuse to accept mediocrity and we are 100% committed to bettering our lives and the lives of others.
